Simanye and Impact Hub Joburg Launch Impact Inspired

Simanye and Impact Hub Joburg in partnership with the UNDPs Accerlate 2030 and UCTs Bertha Centre have partnered up to launch Impact Inspired, a programme designed to support impact ventures at various stages of their development – from concept stage to global scale.

Simanye Group is a cluster of entities dedicated to helping businesses, communities and the public sector find effective and sustainable solutions for transformation and economic development in South Africa, Africa and beyond.

Impact Hub Joburg is a member-based co-working and event venue that unities and empowers impact-driven individuals! It forms part of a global network of 80+ Impact Hubs in major cities around the world.

Targeted at growing and supporting high-potential impact enterprises, Impact Inspired combines both incubation and acceleration streams for a range of enterprises at different stages, in an environment where they can also learn from each other as well as ‘’hack’’ major challenges together. The top enterprises selected will receive business support, technical advice, and funding during the programme as well as post programme support, networking, and office space. Although based in Johannesburg, we will accept applications from across South Africa.

Early stage social enterprises will be placed on the incubation programme at Impact Hub Joburg, while those that are already advanced and would benefit most from an international acceleration programme for scaling will instead be a part of Accelerate 2030’s virtual acceleration programme culminating with a trip to Geneva, Switzerland.

Applications open: 11 May 2017

Applications close: June 30, 2017

Programme ends: December 2017
