Written by: Lengwadishang Ramphele

Shana da Costa is looking forward to spending more time with her mom although she has been diagnosed with an aggressive type of breast cancer which is now in stage 4.

Shana's mom does not have medical aid, therefore, she relies on state facilities.

She is in need of a treatment called Herceptin but it comes at a hefty price and is not administered in the state hospitals.

To help her mom, Shana has created a back a buddy account with a target of R250 000 to get donations towards her mother's treatment.
