[LISTEN] Hyde Park Corner's Love the Sounds initiative needs your support

Written by: Neo Koza

Johannesburg residents have been encouraged to participate in Hyde Park Corner's Love the Sounds initiative, where they have been asked to bring their pre-loved musical instruments to be donated to the Music Enlightenment Project, a community based nonprofit organisation based in Braamfontein.

The organisation, established 10 years, ago provides music lessons for children.

You can place your instruments under Hyde Park Corner's Christmas tree any time until 31 December.

Music Enlightenment Project's project coordinator, Hastings Nyirienda, shares more on his involvement with the organisation.

I got into the project through my friends who are actually the people who started the project. Through the love of music we met and they told me about the initiative.

Since I have been in Braamfontein, I have seen kids raised there. We also stretch out to Hillbrow now and other parts around Braamfontein.
