Rehabilitation takes priority as government goes the extra mile to fight GBV

Written by: Elizabeth Kgabane

Inmates rehabilitation takes centre stage as Minister of Justice and Correctional Services Ronald Lamola officially opened the newly upgraded C-Max section at the Kgosi Mampuru II Management Area in Tshwane recently.

Simultaneous to the opening of the C-Max section, Minister Lamola also led the Under The Tree Dialogues and emphatically condemned acts of violence against women and children.

The dialogues form part of the Department of Justice’s programmes, responding to government’s National Emergency Response Plan to address gender-based violence (GBV) as announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
