[LISTEN] Centre for the Less Good Idea keeps the arts alive during lockdown
The Centre for the Less Good Idea has created new season of work season of work co-curated by William Kentridge and Phala Ookeditse Phala.
The Centre for the Less Good Idea is an interdisciplinary incubator space for the arts based in Maboneng, Johannesburg.
In efforts to keep the arts and culture alive during the national lock down due to COVID-19, the centre premiered its 7th season online between 1 and 8 April 2020 on Facebook and Instagram TV.
Phala, who is also an animateur at the centre, joined Azania Mosaka to detail exactly what it is they do and more on the season.
Just likes science advances itself on experiment and failure, the arts also needs a kind of space where failure is embraced, where secondary processing is embraced and where you can be able to play and explore an idea...— Phala Ookeditse Phala, Animateur
