Dis-Chem launches drive-through COVID-19 testing sites

Written by: Neo Koza

Dis-Chem has launched drive through testing stations in the fight against COVID-19.

The company says it has opened six sites across the country so far - some of these are in Centurion Mall, Olympus, Fourways and Bluebird Centre Athol in Gauteng.

These stations would be situated in parking areas at the designated centres where its stores are located.

Dis-Chem's says the tests will cost R850 each and it may take 24 to 48 hours to get your results back.

Dis-Chem's national clinic manager Lizeth Kruger says

It is actually a very easy process, contact is minimum, the risk is minimum for everybody. It is convenient, we abide by the rules of the lockdown and everything and we make it possible to hopefully increase the testings.

We do ask that customers pay by card and then we will give them an invoice the following day and then they can claim from the medical aid if they wish to do so.
