Pop in: Non-profit organisations amplify hunger relief efforts across SA

Written by: Elizabeth Kgabane

A number of non-profit organisations (NPOs) have amplified efforts for hunger relief as South Africa’s lockdown - which was imposed by the government on March 27 to contain COVID-19 and flatten the curve - has affected non-essential businesses and those who benefited from them.

A lot of the NPOs, with the help of volunteers and donors, have amplified their efforts to aid the affected by distributing food parcels and basic essentials across the country.

There are ways in which you can also pop in and help with cash donations or donations of nonperishable foods.

With your assistance, these organisations will be able to distribute food to the disadvantaged that greatly need help during this time.
