Virtual Volunteering this Mandela day

Written by: Lilford Lesabe

This Mandela Month, as we face the impact of Covid-19 on our country and most vulnerable communities, we are inspired by the words of the father of our democracy, Nelson Mandela: “There is nothing more important in life than giving. Tolerance is forged when people look beyond their own desires.”

For Mandela Month 2020, Coronation Fund Managers is teaming up with ForGood.co.za to be of service to the organisations out there doing the hard work every day of making this a better, more just and more equal country. Of the 400+ listed organisations on the platform, 11 are long-time CSI partners of Coronation.

Coronation’s staff will be supporting the charities of their choice by volunteering their time and skills, or by donating funds or goods that can help these organisations in various ways, and we encourage others to join us.

There is nothing more important in life than giving. Tolerance is forged when people look beyond their own desires.

Nelson Mandela
