#LeadSAFutureLeaders2015The Lead SA Future Leaders workshop 2015 is a 2 day workshop designed to give young South Africans the inspiration and tools a leader needs.
The workshop took place on the 28th-29th of March and hosted different people to initiate and inspire connections.
The purpose of this particular workshop was to build the following:
- The ability to appreciate and leverage diversity;
- Personal confidence;
- The ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Four qualified coaches volunteered to donate their time and facilitate the conversations.

The leaders were given the opportunity to interact with a Leader and got to be exposed to different leadership journeys. The invited speakers spoke about their own journeys for 10 minutes and allowed questions for 10 minutes.

The workshop helped the leaders realise that both positive and negative experiences provide the fuel for leadership journeys. They reflected on how self-knowledge, the ability to acknowledge difference and to harness are all key to successful leadership in the world today. Because the workshop hosted different people from different backgrounds with different perspectives the group respected the stories that they heard and appreciated them.
The workshop on Sunday ended off with this Helen Keller quote-
“One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar."
